Environmental Policy

NAAA works to educate and affect federal agency decisions to ensure federal environmental policy—pertaining to pesticide use to endangered species to clean air and water—takes  into account the operational needs of the aerial application community and the benefits the industry provides the environment. These benefits include using technology to mitigate agricultural inputs; preventing topsoil runoff as a result of spraying above the crop and not compacting the soil; and enabling crops to produce greater yields resulting in fewer acres of land needed for agricultural purposes—this allows for the preservation of large areas of sensitive and bio-diverse ecosystems.
