Harley J. Curless

Harley Curless has been flying since 1975. He took a $10.00 Cessna promotional ride and was hooked.  He grew up in a coal mine family but spent his summers working for the surrounding farmers along with doing mechanical work anywhere he could.

He has been involved in the Illinois Ag Aviation Association, holding all three positions and currently sits on the board of directors.  During the off season Curless Flying Service hosts annual CEU training meetings for local EMTs and firemen along with many visits from school groups. Harley operates in west central Illinois treating commercial corn, seed corn, soybeans and vegetables.  He and wife Kay have raised 3 children and now are enjoying their 6 grandchildren.
