Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

The newest potential non-tower obstacle on the immediate horizon is that of unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Today’s UAS range in size from small hand-launched radio-controlled aircraft to highly sophisticated vehicles like the military’s Predator and Global Hawk that are capable of staying in the air for 24-40 hours and are equipped with high-tech sensor systems and missiles.
