LICENSED AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
The post holder is responsible for conducting maintenance and repairs to the Mosquito Research and Control Unit’s (MRCU) aircraft, under the direction of the Chief Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and ensure the safety of the aircraft.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Performing maintenance on MRCU aircraft in accordance with the approved maintenance program and organization exposition.
- Removing, installing, maintaining and correctly configuring aerial dispersal equipment;
- Calibrating equipment to required specifications and perform necessary modifications;
- Formulating insecticide mixes to correct specification and load mixes into the aircraft.

Requirements |
The successful candidate should possess: |
- A high school diploma with a minimum of 5 O ’Levels including Mathematics and English, or equivalent; OR a GED, and a trade school diploma in aircraft maintenance skills/apprenticeship;
- Training in aircraft maintenance engineering and possess an International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) license (such as a Canadian M1, US A&P, or equivalent) with at least 4 years of post-license experience maintaining light category aircraft within a professional environment;
- At least 1 years’ experience signing aircraft back into service;
- The ability to work with pesticide contaminated equipment in a safety conscious fashion
- The ability to read and interpret all instruments and use special test equipment and tools
- The ability to read and interpret aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Parts Manuals, wiring diagrams, and any other relevant publications;
- The ability to troubleshoot engines and systems.
Preferred
- Experience as specified in the Overseas Territories Aviation Requirements (OTAR)
- Experience with agricultural aviation dispersal gear
- Experience maintaining PT6 series aircraft engines;
