Meeting with Senator Hoeven Highlights NAAA Appropriations Priorities
Last month, NAAA lobbyist Glenn LeMunyon of The LeMunyon Group represented NAAA at a fundraising event for Senator John Hoeven (R-ND). Senator Hoeven serves on the Senate Agriculture Committee and the Senate Committee on Appropriations, where he chairs the Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee.
During the event, LeMunyon discussed NAAA’s appropriations priorities, including our request for additional funding for the Aerial Application Technology Research Unit within USDA’s Agricultural Research Service. He also highlighted our collaborative efforts with Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS) to advance this important funding request in conjunction with the National Cotton Council and other agricultural stakeholders.
Senator Hoeven’s Chief of Staff, Tony Eberhard, was also in attendance and encouraged NAAA to remain engaged with both his office and the Senator as our advocacy efforts move forward. The event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships and reinforce the importance of federal support for the aerial application industry and aerial application research.
