NAAA Seeks Representation on Reestablished EPA Pesticide Advisory Committee

The EPA is reestablishing the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC) and seeking nominations for two-year terms. This federal advisory committee advises the EPA Administrator on pesticide policy, science and program implementation, emphasizing the reduction of real-world risks to human health and the environment. The agency is committed to a balanced committee and will apply FACA’s fair-balance requirement so no single interest dominates. Topics may include cumulative exposures, children’s health effects and improving transparency in the agency’s science-based decision-making.

EPA is looking for nominees across a wide range of perspectives, including pesticide users, growers, commodity groups and farmworker organizations, and especially encourages nominations from public-health, children’s-health and community groups. Nominations will be accepted through September 16, 2026, with vacancies expected to be filled by November 2026. This is a direct opportunity for aerial application perspectives to be represented in national pesticide policy discussions.

NAAA has a long-standing history of representation on the PPDC, with NAAA members including Scott Schertz, Damon Reabe and George Parker having served on the committee. NAAA will be submitting a request to have an NAAA member represented on the committee again allowing an opportunity for the aerial application industry to have a voice in national pesticide policy discussions.
