NAAA President Matt Woolard & Arkansas AAA Members Meet with Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR)
Last week, NAAA President Matt Woolard and members of the Arkansas Agricultural Aviation Association met with Congressman Rick Crawford (R-AR) and his staff to discuss issues facing the agricultural aviation industry. Topics included the growing number of wind farms across Arkansas and the challenges they can create for aerial application, the increasing presence of drones and their potential impact on agricultural aviation, and the overall health of the farm economy. These conversations are important because they allow elected officials to hear directly from operators and ag pilots who are working in the fields and serving Arkansas farmers every day.
Woolard discussed tangible steps that the Congressman can take at the federal level to support the aerial application industry. Thank you to Jeremy Folden of Folden Aviation Inc., Weiner, AR, who took Congressman Crawford up in his aircraft to provide him with a firsthand look at agricultural aviation from the air. Thank you to Johnson Flying Service in Weiner, AR for welcoming Congressman Crawford and his staff to their hangar.
