The Spring 2026 issue of Agricultural Aviation is available online and in the Agricultural Aviation Magazine App. Stories include a review of the safety reminders and lessons taught at the 2025 Ag Aviation Expo, an overview of the 2025-2026 PAASS Program, and an overview of the 2026 Ag Aviation Expo in Savannah.
Texas Agricultural Aviation Association (TAAA) and Kansas Agricultural Aviation Association (KAAA) will host upcoming Operation S.A.F.E. Fly-In clinics this spring, giving aerial applicators an opportunity to evaluate and improve their spray systems.
If you missed this year’s PAASS Program, NAAREF has you covered. The 2025-2026 PAASS Program is now available as a self-paced online course in the NAAA Education Center. As with the in-person program, the course takes roughly 4 hours to complete but can be done all at once or over several days as your time permits.
Next week NAAA will participate in FAA’s monthly Ag Drone Podcast organized by the agency’s FAAST team to promote safety, compliance and professionalism in the spray drone industry. During the podcast, NAAA will discuss its new educational flyers developed by its Uncrewed Aerial Application System Committee, designed to reach uncrewed spray drone operators and customers to ensure they are following aviation and environmental regulations and best management practices established by the aerial application industry.
Citing concerns over airspace safety, Amazon’s drone delivery service, Prime Air, has dropped the Commercial Drone Alliance (CDA) as one of its advocacy groups. CDA represents a variety of commercial drone manufacturers and drone traffic management service providers, including Skydio, Zipline, Alphabet/Google’s Wing Aviation, among others.
Over the last several weeks, NAAA’s ag aviation industry survey has been open for both operators and pilots to complete by providing confidential and important information we need to register pesticides for aerial use and multiple other uses.
The Federal Aviation Administration’s annual General Aviation and Part 135 Activity Survey (GA Survey) is now underway, reporting on calendar year 2025. The GA Survey is the only source of information on the general aviation fleet and the number of hours flown.
