Texas and Kansas to Host Upcoming Operation S.A.F.E. Fly-In Clinics

Texas Agricultural Aviation Association (TAAA) and Kansas Agricultural Aviation Association (KAAA) will host upcoming Operation S.A.F.E. Fly-In clinics this spring, giving aerial applicators an opportunity to evaluate and improve their spray systems.

Air Tractor will host the Texas clinic tomorrow, Friday, March 20, at its headquarters in Olney, Texas, with Saturday, March 21, serving as the alternate date in case of inclement weather. The fly-in is open to agricultural aviation operators and pilots in Texas and surrounding states.

The Kansas clinic, hosted by KAAA, will take place April 7–9 at Ulysses Airport in Ulysses, Kansas. Pattern testing will begin early April 7 and continue throughout the day, extending through April 9 if needed. The event is free for paid KAAA members, and a fish fry lunch will be provided by McGriff Insurance Services.

During the clinic, trained evaluators conduct liquid pattern testing and analyze droplet size data. Based on the results, they provide guidance on nozzle selection, boom configuration and system adjustments to help operators optimize performance and efficiency. Testing is provided at no cost.

Clinics include Operation S.A.F.E. certification and offer continuing education opportunities. Participants in Kansas can earn 1.0 1A CEU, while the Texas clinic offers CE credit through the Application Technology program.

Please register in advance. For the Texas clinic, call 940-564-5616 or contact Christopher Lockhart or Anthonie York. For the Kansas clinic, contact site coordinator Jeff Seewald at (970) 690-4744 to schedule an aircraft or Rebecca Burns at (406) 381-4947 for additional information.
