EPA Launches Email Alerts for Bulletins Live! Two Updates
The EPA has launched a new email subscription feature to help pesticide users stay informed about updates to its Bulletins Live! Two system, which provides area-specific pesticide use requirements related to the Endangered Species Act (ESA).
The new feature was announced Sept. 22 in response to requests from pesticide users seeking an easier way to keep track of changes to Bulletins Live! Two. Subscribers will receive email notifications when EPA makes significant updates to the system, including when new Pesticide Use Limitation Areas (PULAs) are added or existing PULAs are changed.
Pesticide labels may direct users to Bulletins Live! Two for additional measures required to protect threatened and endangered species and their designated critical habitat. Because EPA continually updates the system, restrictions for a particular product or geographic area may change over time.
The new email alerts are intended to provide pesticide users with near-real-time notice of relevant changes, helping them identify new or revised requirements before making an application.
Subscribers will receive notifications about:
- Major Bulletins Live! Two system updates
- New Pesticide Use Limitation Areas
- Changes to existing Pesticide Use Limitation Areas
Pesticide users can subscribe to email notifications through EPA’s Bulletins Live! Two webpage.
NAAA encourages aerial applicators who use products subject to Bulletins Live! Two requirements to consider subscribing to the alerts as an additional way to stay informed about changes that could affect pesticide applications.
