PPDC, established in 1995, it is federal advisory committee which advises the EPA Administrator on pesticide policy, science, and program implementation, with an emphasis on reducing real-world risks to human health and the environment. Topics may include cumulative exposures, children’s health effects, and improving transparency in the agency’s science-based decision-making.PPDC is a forum for a diverse group of stakeholders including environmental and public interest groups, pesticide manufacturers, trade associations, commodity groups, public health and academic institutions, federal and state agencies, and the general public. PPDC typically meets twice a year. All meetings are open to the public.
Recent Updates
In August of 2026 the EPA announced they were reestablishing the Pesticide Program Dialogue Committee (PPDC) and seeking nominations for two-year terms. This EPA is looking for nominees across a wide range of perspectives, including pesticide users, growers, commodity groups, and farmworker organizations, and especially encourages nominations from public health, children’s health, and community groups. Nominations were accepted through September 16, 2026, with vacancies expected to be filled by November 2026. NAAA nominated George Parker of Crop Jet Aviation LLC to serve on the PPDC.
